I've been taking pictures for nearly as long as I can remember. It started off with a fixed-focus camera that took 120 film, then a consumer-level 35mm a few years later. In fifth grade I learned the basics of focus, shutter, and aperture so that I could borrow my mother's old Mamiya for a school trip to New York. When that finally gave in, I bought a used Nikon for $200, which held me over until I made the switch to digital. Today, I shoot a 4-megapixel Sony CD Mavica. In three years it's taken over ten thousand pictures, silly and serious, around the country and around the world, and for every concert or event I attend, it takes hundreds more. By using mini-CDs as a storage medium, I can go as heavy on the shutter as I would have with my 35mm, without worrying about running out of space on a memory card. I'm thrilled to have rediscovered music photography. When the conditions are right, the synergy of sound and lighting and emotion can yield absolutely stunning results. I hope that you have enjoyed looking at my work. I am always on the lookout for any type of photography, web design/programming, or IT work, be it freelance, temporary, or permanent. I am currently located in New York, but will consider relocating or telelcommuting. My resume is available in PDF format here. |
